Drink, Drank, Drunk

I found this to be very interesting. This is an old television program hosted by Carol Burnett and includes stars such as Morgan Freeman. The episode special about alcoholism is called Drink, Drank, Drunk. The publishers do not allow for sites other than Youtube to offer the videos so I have put the links to this special at Youtube on the end of this post. The program is all about alcoholism and is very interesting and timeless as I believe this was originally recorded in the 70s. I know Carol Burnett is and has been very passionate about sobriety because both her parents died in their 40s due to alcoholism and she has also had other family issues do to alcohol and drugs so please take the time and watch this multiple part video series in full...

Relationship Help

About six months ago, I was in sore need of relationship help. I love my fiancĂ© dearly, madly – that was half of the problem. You see, the relationship advice that we needed was not of the normal kind. It wasn't about how to rekindle the relationship, how to put the spark back into the marriage, or anything like that. The problem was just the opposite. Things were too intense. We were so passionately in love that it would often cause us to fight. Whenever one of us had to go away on a business trip, the other would become jealous and unhappy. In short, we were having some serious problems and needed expert advice on relationships.

The problem is that no one seemed to offer the relationship help that we needed. We tried everything. We started off with some relationship advice columns, but quickly turned away. Looking at them, the relationship help that they gave was either hit or miss. It was not very consistent, and sometimes it seemed like they arbitrarily selected the words that they said. After that, we tried relationship coaching but it didn't work. It only resulted in endless fights until the relationship coach threw up his hands and gave up. It seemed like we were destined to never find the relationship help that we needed until a friend stepped in and showed us the way.

Off course we had heard of therapists, but we hadn't really wanted to think about it before. If we had thought carefully, we probably would have known that that was where we should get relationship help, but our thoughts never took us in that direction. You see, we are both very public people. Neither of us wants people to know that we see a therapist. Why get relationship counseling when you can go to a relationship coach instead? A coach seems so much more normal than a therapist! Still, we knew that the best way to get relationship help was to go to the experts. After all, we had tried everything else!

It is amazing how quickly the relationship help worked. The therapist didn't give us relationship tips like the coach had. Instead, he taught us how to listen to each other. That was the ingredient that we had been missing all those years. Our communication was not as deep as our love. Neither of us was listening to the other, and that is why we kept getting into fights.

What Happened To All Of The Free Online Dating Websites?

So many online dating sites are going out of business or they are on there way out right now. Why? I know why. And I know how to make an online dating site thrive right now.

First off, who needs a free online dating service when we are dealing with Web 2.0 free social networking... huh?... oh, Myspace and the rest!

The Webmasters of free online personals sites such as Plenty of Fish are crying on their blogs right now because they are loosing members to free social networking sites and their Adsence income is shrinking. Then they try to add features such as personality matching like eHarmony. Didn't these plenty of Webmasters figure out that your freebie members have no patience for this long of a sign up?? Plus I think these free personals sites are really ugly because there sites are built for speed on cheep and slow web hosts so no room for art. BUT! Plenty of room for Google Adsence ads (not talking about you Plenty of Fish here).

So what's the ticket to online dating wealth then?

The ticket is niche personals marketing for adults looking for other adults only. Myspace and other social networking sites cater to 13yo's to whatever. Keyword, "13". I say, "Leave the teenagers alone on the internet and help them study in school if you want to help at all".

Pick an adult niche to host a personals site and you can thrive financially without Google Adsence and messing with kids. The social networking sites have underage teenagers and nothing more than PG 13 content is allowed. So don't build a free personals site that is NOT for adults only.

Check out Sober Seeker A place for sober adults only looking for adventure. You are guaranteed to meet sober adults only!
